Kauffman Index of Entrepreneurial Activity (1996-2009)
According to the 2010 report released recently by the Kauffman Foundation, the number of people reporting entry into entrepreneurial activity in 2009 in the United States reached its highest point over the last 14 years. IRS Small Business Survey
The IRS is trying to gain insight into how small business owners prefer to receive information, to make it easier for the small business community to understand and meet their tax obligations. As a result, they are conducting an on-line Survey that will be used to recommend improvements to tax education and guidance for small business owners. The information received will help shape future IRS outreach efforts.
The survey is being conducted by MITRE Corporation, a federally-funded research and development center that supports the U.S. government on issues of national importance. The Survey deadline has been extended to September 9, 2010. All participant information collected will be kept strictly confidential. To participate in the Survey, click here.
