Staff
The University of Alaska Center for Economic Development (UACED) coordinated the startup, launch, and implementation of AKSourceLink, in close collaboration with the founding partners and working under the guidance of the Advisory Committee. Current staffing for management of the program reflects our new partnership with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension services.
Network Builder Lisa Wedin comes to AKSourceLink as a part of UACED’s partnership with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension services. In her more than 25 years in Alaska, Lisa has covered such projects as Land Trend Analysis on Fort Richardson as well as interviews and content development for the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute website prior to working for Extension. In this new role, Lisa will be responsible for our resource partner network, overall outreach and developing a sponsorship program.
Network Coordinator Melissa Houston, of UACED, joins the AKSourceLink program as an AmeriCorps VISTA. She is a recent B.A. graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where she double-majored in Anthropology and International Studies and double-minored in Peace Studies and Latin American Studies. At AKSourceLink she develops web content, manages data collection and reporting, and expands media and public outreach. New to Alaska, Melissa is thrilled to be working on the AKSourceLink team and to be building the organization’s capacity to serve Alaskan entrepreneurs.
